I offer free workshops on college affordability, the college search, college visits, and other college topics to libraries, schools, parent groups, and community organizations. Recent workshops include:

College Affordability: How to find colleges that fit your finances

Learn how college finances work and how you can find colleges that will be an excellent financial fit. Topics: the costs of college; the expected family contribution; federal and state aid; need-based aid and merit aid from colleges; how to save for college; strategies for finding great colleges that also fit your family finances; key dates and application timelines.

College Search: How to build a great college list

Learn how to focus on finding a good fit in your college search process. Topics: the elements of fit—academic, social, financial; how to develop your own college criteria; resources for finding new colleges to add to your consideration list; how to research colleges in depth; the importance of keeping an open mind and making trade-offs.
